TCPIP Firmware Upgrade Procedure for 8000

1. Stop the Highpower Server if its running.
2. Install the 8000 TCPIP Utility if not already installed.  Use setup.exe to install the utility.
3. Start the TCPIP Utility from the Start Menu (ibc tcpip V4.0).  It's normally installed in the "IBC" folder.
4. Once running, click on "Flash Reader" on the left.
5. Enter the IP Address of the reader that you wish to flash.
6. Enter "87" in the Control Port Number field.
7. Enter "11111" in the Password field.
8. Hit the Select File button.  The firmware file is named ibctcpv04.30.bin and is located in your upgrade zip file.  Make sure this file is unzipped and located at a place you can point to.  Select this file in the dialog box.
9. Very important - Shut down any network intensive applications.  High network traffic will cause the upgrade to fail.  You can restart the upgrade if this happens.
10. Hit the Start Download button.  Let the application work on sending the new TCPIP stack to the 8000 until.  Do not use the computer during this time in order to keep the processor overhead low.
11. At the completion of the upload, the software will ask you if you wish to reboot the device.  Select Yes.
12. Several seconds later, the device will come online with the new firmware.  You may want to check the firmware version with the Program Reader screen.  You will have to provide the proper IP Address and then hi tthe Get Parameters Button.  The TCPIP firmware version will be listed on the lower right of the screen if the panel is online.  If not, wait a few seconds more, verify your IP address and hit Get Parameters again.
13. Repeat this procedure for all panels in your system.
14. Restart the Highpower Server using the Server Manager application.
